First - "Daily Shuttle" to Universal Studios means one shuttle in the morning at 10:40 and one back at 7:15. Then we get to our room where the TV is already on at full volume. I walk over to it to turn down the volume and it starts to quickly run through the channels and turn off. It does this every time I try to turn it back on. When we got back to the room that night I turned on the lights and the TV came back on by itself- this time in black & white. I changed the channel and we got ready for bed. When I turned off the lights, the TV again ran through the channels and turned off. The next night after getting back to our room I encountered a cockroach which I had to kill and in the morning found another one in the tub. The "cafe" has coffee, soda, and milk. There were also some string cheese singles and cheese slices in with the sugar for the coffee available for purchase. This was the single most disgusting experience I have ever had at a hotel.

We stayed on the third floor, and the room was pretty nice. The mini fridge didnt work, but eh... it was cheap. Looking at the other reviews i thought oh great what did i get my self into, but it was pretty nice actually. Until we walked around the place... On the bottom floor it was pretty dirty, there was eve a door half way kicked in... But im not sure that room was available. The shuttle to Disney was a life saver though. I wouldnt have liked driving there.

we picked this hotel only because it said it had breakfast included. Otherwise we would have stayed closer to universal. When we got there they said they didn't serve breakfast. When told that their website and the travel agency said they did, all they would say is yes we know. It was not a good experience. will not return and felt they overcharged and overpromised.

For the money, it's worth it. On the side of the hotel we stayed, very noisy next to very busy street. It appeared that the a/c unit may have been leaking as the carpet was wet in some places causing a pretty nasty musty odor. Room could definitely use some renovating. Items for sale in food/beverage area very pricy but good variety and selection. Shuttle service to parks was a positive perk that did run on time, but, it only takes you to the park at a certain time and picks you up once. All at a predetermined time by the INDEPENDENT Shuttle Comapany. You will also pick up/drop off guests at several other hotels on your way. One chair in the room was so soiled, I didn't want my daughter touching it so we baracaded it off in the corner. Very nasty. Felt like the carpet and bedding (not the sheets) were filthy. Excellent housekeeping. Shower and bathroom were clean. Didn't see any bugs at all...which is very rare for any hotel in Florida. Beautiful outdoor pool and garden/lounging area. Red Lobster directly next door and Congo River (putt putt style golf and alligator feeding!) across the street. 7-Eleven and Walgreens very close as are many other shops and restaurants. Very close to Universal. And lastly, whatever the extra $* they charge per day is for...i have no idea. But you will pay that upon check-in. I truly believe that some simple room renovations, ie carpet, paint, and bedding, and this could really be a great hotel. But then it probably wouldn't be as cheap either.

The room was ugly, the bed, sheets, towels were cheap, but the location could NOT be beat. Walked to all of the parks, and at night when visibility was too bad to walk I took a cab for less than 5 bucks from City Walk. I didn't spend any time in the room anyway because WAY too many things to see and do in the area. If you are on a honeymoon and plan to spend alot of time in bed :) then do NOT stay here. If you have your kids and will be out in parks, etc. then the value cannot be beat.
