Me and my husband visited orlando, Fl. between August It was a clean hotel the room we were originally given was not a smoking room, so we upgraded to a suite and it was the exact thing from the pictures it shows in the review and was only * dollars more per night.. The pool was clean and quite. the staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint I have is the fact that the tv in the room was placed in a weird location that made it impossible to watch tv on the bed, and the bed was a little harder than I would like but not uncomfortable. Another great thing is we were less than 5 minutes from Universal, 20 minutes from Disney and less than 5 minutes to the convention center. Overall a great deal for the amount of money I spent for the visit.

The front desk was friendly . room service was ok. but for the room it was not very clean.the beds were not conferrable sperngs coming through matriss . I pulled the cousion off the window seat and sleap on it . the air did not work good had to sit real close to it keep from burning up. we paid to much for that room and thank we shoud get somthing back.we came there to heve a good time and rest . but rest we did not get. thay need to get new beds

This hotel was bad. I asked for one type of room and got the complete opposite. And on top of that after i complained they found someone to blaim and made us stay where i was completely not satisfied. Overall i wouldn't return.

I'm not sure where everyone else gets the good things they have to say about this motel. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either. The entire place smells musty and the carpets throughout the halls and rooms is old and nasty. When we got to our room the air was on its coldest setting on high and it was roasting hot. The beds seemed ancient and hard as well. We went down to the lobby to get a different room and their only "option" was to give us a smoking room. We went to the room to give it a try (we do not smoke) and this room as expected smelled worse than the rest of the place. I immediately got on the phone with Travelocity for whom I don't have any complaints since they started the refund process without any hassle. In the end we drove from hotel to hotel for hours after midnight trying to find somewhere else to stay. We ended up paying more and getting a much better place to stay. We ended up at the Wingate by Wyndham across from Universal Studios. Oddly its also a "3 star" hotel but it was night and day compared to the Baymont. The staff was awesome and the room, bed, amenities, and breakfast were really real luxurious. Part of me thinks that the price of the Wingate is what keeps it from getting a 4-star rating. Possibly because it doesn't cost nearly as much as the 4-stars do even tho you get the same end result. My wife and I read the reviews for Baymont on Travelocity and other sites before we booked. Unfortunately they were greatly misleading. Final thoughts: After seeing it first hand we do not in any way recommend staying at the Baymont.

First, I reserved two beds, and they gave me one. I was then moved to another room that had a leaky toilet and ran every ten minutes. I turned of the supply so I could sleep. When we woke, there were ants all over my stuff on the desk. I cleaned out my purse, and stuuff and reported it to the front desk. I said we would be out all day, so they can address it when they can. We arrived back at 9:30 pm to find ants still on the desk. I went to the front desk and asked why it wasnt taken care of. I was then pushed aside to wait while she checked in more guests. I waited 20 minutes, decided I was too tired to move again, and went to bed. I woke to a call from the front desk at 8 am saying they would come and treat the ants. I then told them we were checking out, they can leave us in peace until then. After we leave they can do what they want. The place is a ONE star. Maybe a TWO star since they serve a simple continental breakfast. (but ran out of coffee???)
